So, if you know me at all, you know I looooove food! I love to experience new restaurants and try different things, especially if it has to do with seafood. It's always great to experience local food, so when we are visiting an island, I always try to research the best local hot spots. If you're a foodie like me, and visiting Grand Cayman, here are some insight to the places we visited. Enjoy :)
All of the restaurants we visited, 1 being my favorite :) and so on....
1. Heritage Kitchen - West Bay
This place is absolutely wonderful! It is this little shack right on the water that screams caribbean. Not to mention, the food is fabulous! Fresh fish and chicken, rice, beans, and amazing juice! As you can see, the catch of the day was grouper. Visit Heritage Kitchen if you have been beaching it and just need a quick spot to grab some food. No need to worry about what you're wearing, and the cost is very affordable. I think Chase and I together paid $20.00 for the below food and fresh juice to drink. A great way to spend lunch!

2. Eagle Rays - East End
Can anyone say Lion Fish Tacos?!?! I CAN! By far the best tacos that I've ever had! This restaurant is located on the east end and is owned by the same people that own Tukka. Eagle Rays seemed to be more of a "family" oriented restaurant and much more laid back. There is also scuba available here, during our dinner, we were able to watch some of the class that was taking place in the onsite pool. The Lobster Alfredo was a daily special, it was pretty good too, but not as good as the tacos!

3. Vivine's Kitchen - East End
Um, can we talk about how cool this place is....but seriously, Vivine cooks the food right out of this house right on the water. All I could think about is, how can I get that gig!!! You really can't go wrong with anything that you order. We all loved our food and the experience of this place is a must! Not to mention that the view is stunning!

4. Morgan's Seafood Restaurant - Seven Mile Beach
Captain Blair recommended Morgan's for lunch on our excursion. We were able to dock right at the boat pier and walk over to the harbor restaurant. The restaurant is pricey, but the atmosphere is super cool! Very relaxed and peaceful vibes. I recommend the Seafood Crepes. This was one of my favorite meals (very close to the lion fish tacos)!
Sorry - No photos to share because I forgot my phone on this day.

5. Tukka - East End
If you're staying on the North Side or the East End you can't miss out on Tukka! While I didn't try them on my first visit, I hear that the Lion Fish Tacos are to die for (I believe it since Tukka is owned by the same people that own Eagle Rays). Make sure you sit outside because the view is gorgeous!

6. Over the Edge Cafe - North Side
This gem was located next to our house on the North Side of the island. It does have a full bar, however, we never got the chance to visit of an evening. We always stopped for lunch or breakfast for the convenience. The cafe is right on the water and it is so quiet and peaceful! The view is great! If you're on the North Side in the morning, stop for breakfast!

7. Decker's - George Town
If you like Lobster, this is the place to go. We tried this place for the "All You Can Eat Lobster" on Saturday evening. We pigged out and made ourselves miserable on the lobster, but it was a once in a lifetime experience. I'm going to be honest, I probably won't ever do that again...I felt so terrible! Anyways, good food, cool vibe and a place I'd recommend if you are looking for something new in George Town or Seven Mile Beach area.

8. The Lighthouse Restaurant at The Breakers - Bodden Town
If you want a nice sit down, elegant restaurant right on the water, check out the Light House. The restaurant specializes in pasta dishes and the pizza is very good. I recommend dressing decently when you go here. No swim suites at this restaurant, put on some dressier clothes and enjoy the evening! I'd also recommend making reservations if you choose to dine here.

9. Rum Point Club
People don't go here for the food, they go here for the drinks and the relaxation, or just to have a fun day! Known for the Famous Mudslide, don't go without trying one! Heck, go ahead and drive to Rum Point just to try one! I am not a fan of these so called famous drinks, but I will not judge and let you make your own opinion of them! I did however enjoy many of the other cocktails on the menu! Rum Point is a fun place to spend the day. Enjoy lounging at the beach, rent a paddle board or even take out the snorkel for some adventure.
